‘A delightful shot at revenge’: Employee gets back at worker who suddenly quit, leaving them short-staffed – FAIL Blog

It’s not every day you get to foil your least-favorite coworker’s plans!

There are few things more annoying in the retail world than the coworker who’s constantly calling out… 5 minutes before her shift starts. I get it, people get sick, or their childcare options fall through, or their car breaks down. Such is life. Still, when these things happen, it’s best to give your management as much advance notice as possible. If you give them 24 hours’ notice, they probably won’t make too much of a fuss, because they’ll have time to find a replacement. But if you give them like, 5 minutes’ notice, they’re just going to be short an employee for an entire shift! This puts more pressure on the other employees who did show up, and managers might find themselves taking on extra work during the shift to make up for the absence.

Again, if this happens once, it is what it is. But I know a lot of workers make this a regular occurrence, and they’ve got a quiver full of different excuses for each time it happens. They might keep their job, but their coworkers aren’t going to stop bad-mouthing them behind their backs, and management isn’t going to forget who put them in a pinch, and who stepped up to help them out.

This person got the delicious chance to get back at their coworker who quit in a very annoying way. She gave her 2 week’s notice… and then just never returned again! I think some folks just don’t understand what 2 weeks’ notice means. Or worse, they think it means that for the next 2 weeks, they can do next to nothing and still get paid for it (although technically there’s nothing stopping them from doing that… it’s just irritating for everyone else around them). Check out the full story below to see for yourself!

Next, check out some baffling design choices that make zero sense, from staircases that’ll make anyone trip and fall, to product labels that ensure customers of the exact opposite message.
