This new boss swooped in and decided that the best way to keep productivity up was to enforce a time-tracking system that, of course, ended up taking more time to complete than not having the system at all. This team proved that to be true, and, through malicious compliance, they were able to convince their entitled boss that maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all. Thankfully, they just so happened to be dealing with someone who ultimately chose to listen rather than double down on the bogus new policy.
