Here’s How Many Times Trump Has Posted About Each Late Night Host In 2025

When President Donald Trump isn’t suggesting that Democratic lawmakers be hanged for sedition, he is often posting on Truth Social about his deep and burning hatred for the late night television show hosts of America. He typically posts these little flurries of fury during the exact hours the shows are airing live, leaving the possibility open that he’s live-tweeting his viewing experience like fans of Game of Thrones in 2014.

He’s railed against Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers. The president does not like that they get on television every night and make fun of him. Wednesday night, Trump blasted Kimmel for his “biased” coverage of the president.

“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage,” Trump wrote. “Get the bum off the air!!!”

But that post is just the tip of a very large, very bitter iceberg.

Using the Roll Call social media archive for the president, we have exact stats for each time Trump has targeted a late night show host in 2025. Let’s dig in.

Starting with the host that has been targeted the least, Trump posted about Jimmy Fallon two times in 2025. Perhaps Fallon’s desire to take an apolitical approach to late night shielded him, somewhat, from the president’s ire. Trump still called Fallon “weak, and very insecure,” on July 25.

Stephen Colbert had just three Truth social posts directed at him this year. This is perhaps because the president feels victorious over The Late Show host. Colbert and the entire program will exit the network when Colbert’s contract expires in June 2026. Still, Trump didn’t reign in the gloating.

“Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night,” Trump wrote, in part. “That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE!”

Trump posted about the host of Late Night with Seth Meyers five times in 2025. The first Truth Social post of the year was on January 14 at 1:24 am EST. “I got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months, and every time I watch this moron I feel an obligation to say how dumb and untalented he is, merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast,” Trump wrote, in part.

The next four times, in August, September, and twice in November, Trump referred to Meyers as a “total loser,” said he had the “personality of an insecure child,” said he was “the least talented person,” and urged, “NBC should fire him, IMMEDIATELY!

The president posted about Jimmy Kimmel seven times in 2025, starting on July 18. On that day, Trump wrote: “I absolutely love that Colbert’ got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show.”

Trump’s attacks on Kimmel include the president calling the host “untalented” and “a FOOL.” Most notably however, Trump’s hatred of Kimmel is connected to the host getting yanked off air after Federal Communications Commissioner Brendan Carr threatened ABC and Disney about his show. For a week, Kimmel was offline, only to make a triumphant return with a historic ratings boost.

You would think the president would be well aware that all press is good press. But in the fog of wrath, Trump’s Truth Social posts helps late night show hosts be exactly what he says they arent: relevant.
