Hello, hello, kitty cat enthusiasts from near and far! How have you been dealing with the frigid weather as of recently? The recent snowstorm across the majority of the United States has been no joke, and for the sake of honesty, today is my first time outside since Saturday night. Hey, I’m based in New York City, and it’s in the single digits throughout most of this week. As I stepped out of my apartment today, my scarf wrapped tightly around my decolletage, I looked back at my apartment building longingly and with envy because my cat was looking down at me like I was their hooman peasant. I guess I kind of am.
Okay, enough trauma dumping. We have a burning question to ask all you cat owners: Do you take your cat outside to explore the fluffy snow? Do your furry felines long for the feeling of their toe beans tip-toeing around during the early meowrning flurries? You can gather this intel by opening your door ever so slightly and examining whether they dash out the door or not. If they do, and they start flopping around in the snow like meowniacs, then you have your answer!
It must be pretty darn nice to be a cat right about now. They don’t have to put on work clothes, venture out into the snowy abyss, and will always get first dibs on the radiator in any household. One time, I thought my heat was broken because I wasn’t getting any warmth from my usual corner of the apartment. It turns out that my cat, Cooper, decides to sit right atop the radiator and steal all the toastiness for himself. My heart can’t blame him, but my brain did. I mean, how selfish can one feline be?! I don’t know, he’s just a cat with one brain cell.
Between work and homebody time, we must find ways to fill the void the best way we know how: cat memes. You knew that was coming, because it always does. If you’re looking for a way to keep your heart warm while we let this winter meowment blow over, scroll below!
