Skin care isn’t just for seasoned pros. Younger consumers are getting into it earlier than ever (cue the rise of “Sephora kids”), and brands have had to smarten up about what actually goes into their formulas (and what’s left out). One that’s doing it right is Bubble Skincare, the playful, ingredient-conscious brand that’s built a loyal following for its affordable prices (everything’s under $20!), colorful packaging, and gentle, fragrance-free formulas that don’t mess with sensitive skin. What I love most, though, is that it works for everyone, from skin-care beginners to those looking for a simple yet effective routine. And I’m clearly not the only one who feels that way; Leighton Meester, the brand’s first-ever ambassador, is also a longtime fan who reaches for Bubble products on repeat.

Bubble and Meester’s partnership kicked off with the brand’s first-ever campaign, Radical Joy, starring the “Gossip Girl” alum posing playfully with her favorite products — and, I might add, she has several. As told to Elle, her skin-care routine is “fairly simple,” in that she sticks to the core skin-care steps, powered entirely by the Gen Z–loved line. “I cleanse in the morning and the evening,” she told the outlet. “[When] I wash my face in the morning, I need it to foam. I really like Soft Launch Hydrating Cream Cleanser ($17). It’s very creamy, and it does not strip my skin at all. I think the real test of skin stripping is: If you don’t put moisturizer on afterward, is your face tight?”

Then comes toner, which she admits she was skeptical of for a while as a concept, but now, she’s fully converted. The Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner ($16) is “a really great product to rehydrate your skin and prime it,” she says, adding that her gel moisturizer of choice for her acne-prone skin is the Level Up Balancing Gel Moisturizer ($16). According to the brand, other essentials in her daily routine include the adorably packaged Talk Back Loud & Clear Hydrating Lip Serum ($12) and, for a brightness boost, the Day Dream Tone & Texture Serum ($17).

Meester’s lineup is one to love — and so is the campaign, which is simple yet impactful, summed up perfectly in an Instagram caption accompanying their photoshoot: “Our secret to happy skin is always JOY ✨ Derm developed, clinically proven formulas, plus the fun. Who said skin care has to be so serious?”
